What are the ways to recover Windows 7 administrator password?

We always want our system to be secure and safe you in progression to do this we apply several technique, one of them is to protect the system with the administrator password. But these security measures become a menace for our own self . If we loose the password or forget it.

What should be done in such a case. We will today discuss several techniques from which we can recover our Windows 7 password. There could e be around several methods to do this few of them being unethical too. But I won't be discussing the unethical techniques on a public platform.

I will discuss a few of them which are really important and worth spending time on.

The first technique is through an available administrator account

  • If you have an administrator account available then the password recovery can be done quickly.
  • You need to login to the administrator account on your Windows 7 system.
  • Go to the control panel here you can delete or change the account password to do this
  • Click Start>Control Panel>ADD/remove Accounts
  • Choose the account you need to change the password for
  • Click on change password or remove password.
  • Your password is now changed or removed as per your preference

Another way is through the Windows 7 password reset disk

Windows 7 provides as with the option to create a password reset disk(USB Key) which will allow you reset the password at the time of password being lost. And this is but obvious that this disk can only be created when you are logged in. When you loose the password you need to use the disk to recover the password. The process is really simple if the USB key to reset password is there.

  • When you will enter the wrong password at that point of time you will be promoted help message that you have entered a wrong password just click on the message and you will be back on to the login screen.
  • Click reset password and then Insert the USB password key
  • Click the next button, select the disk
  • Type the new password and click next
  • Your lost password is reset.

Another way can be to use a third party windows password recovery software.

There may be several software available in the market I used the software that was with the boo table CD. What you need to do in such software is you need to:

  • Insert the CD and then boot the system with the CD
  • Once the screen is up then you need to click admin/user password button.
  • You will see the list of the software those have the user name and the password you need to select the account you want to change the password for and click on reset.
  • Your password will be reset successfully

via data recovery
